What to expect when having a massage:

The therapist will gather general health information relating to your individual health care concerns and goals for massage.  You will be asked to undress to your level of comfort in a private room.  The therapist will reenter the room to begin a massage that is specific to your needs.  She may use her hands, forearms, magnets, stones or other manual tools in order to manipulate soft tissues.  The session will last for 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or other agreed upon time. Communication is important. You will be asked questions regarding pressure, temperature and comfort.  If you experience any pain or discomfort during the massage you should immediately inform the therapist so that your treatment can be adjusted.

Massage is not a substitute for evaluation, diagnosis or treatment by a qualified physician.
